Saving Historical New Orleans event rescheduled for September 17
Originally scheduled for April, the St. Tammany Library Foundation’s annual Distinguished Speakers Series event was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
April 17, 2020
Every year, the St. Tammany Library Foundation presents its Distinguished Speakers Series, an event that brings together writers, artists, and great minds from around Louisiana to celebrate the cultural and literary past and future of the state. The 2020 installment, originally scheduled for April 2020, had to be postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic, is now officially scheduled for September 17, 2020.
The event will bring together the creators of the New Orleans Preservation Resource Center’s book Building On the Past: Saving Historic New Orleans. Susan Langenhennig and Danielle Del Sol of the PRC, journalist John Pope, and photojournalist Chris Granger will participate in a panel discussion of the book and of the PRC’s efforts to ensure that New Orleans’s rich past is remembered and honored.
Many individuals and businesses come together every year to help put on this event. The St. Tammany Library Foundation is deeply grateful to the event’s sponsors for their generosity toward the Foundation and their flexibility in continuing to support us during these uncertain times.
