St. Tammany Libraries reopen with curbside-only service

May 21, 2020

Six of the St. Tammany Parish Libraries have reopened after being closed for several months due to the coronavirus pandemic:

      • Causeway Branch – 985.626.9779
      • Covington Branch – 985.893.6280
      • Madisonville Branch – 985.845.4819
      • Mandeville Branch – 985.626.4293
      • Slidell Branch – 985.646.6470
      • South Slidell Branch – 985.781.0099

These six branches will be open for curbside-only service. Hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Requested items will be placed on a table outside the library, where the requesting patron can retrieve them.

In compliance with safety guidelines, all items returned to the library will be quarantined for 72 hours before they are returned to circulation. Because of this and other issues, the Library is asking for patience and understanding from its patrons while we all adjust to this new (but temporary) situation.

To reserve an item (book, DVD, CD, etc.) for pickup, visit the library’s website or call any of the open branches. If an item is available at your library, it is possible that you’ll be able to pick it up the same day you request it, but a longer wait time is possible.

For those who do not have a library card yet, the Library is also offering instant, temporary library cards (for free) on its website. Click here to apply.

Outstanding items checked out before the pandemic lockdown began are now due on July 1.

The Library is offering free WiFi (password-free) within the parking lots at all of its locations.
